LaChute Bridal Portraits for Shelby!

Shelby is a true joy to work with. In fact, this shoot went really fast because of her laid-back attitude and genuine personality! And her LaChute bridal portraits turned out pretty well . . . if we don’t say so ourselves. Shelby wanted to use La Chute Plantation, for her bridal portraits since she was getting married there and we were all about it. The plantation is a privately owned, historical home just south of Shreveport that sits on several acres of land and it is AWESOME! Our mouths were practically watering just thinking about it!

The current owners have transformed the home into a gorgeous wedding venue and after seeing it first hand we absolutely could not wait for Shelby’s wedding day. (We will have another post up soon about that wonderful evening and you are NOT going to want to miss it!)

How it all went down . . .

The owners gave us a friendly welcome and quick tour of the property and we got to work. But the most difficult part of the entire shoot was deciding where to start! After a little bit of a debate, we began with one of the two massive oak trees that spread their branches across a large portion of the property. Because why wouldn’t you start there?! Is there anything more Southern than that? Well, maybe the plantation home itself, so we definitely had to feature that too. No matter where we turned there was an opportunity for gorgeous photography. All we had to do was point and shoot. Everything was simply beautiful – from bride to location. We are definitely ready for another round of LaChute Bridal Portraits!

Shelby’s dress and veil are from Hers Bridal in Minden, Louisiana  and she did her own hair and make up – like a boss! We ended up with so many great images from this shoot, but here are just a few of our favorites! We hope that you enjoy them!
