Emily and Jaret first met a Louisiana Tech during their freshman year – at orientation no less! – and have been together ever since. They quickly discovered that they shared an interest in music and they would both go on to become members of the Louisiana Tech University Band of Pride.  So it’s pretty safe to say that they have spent quite a few Saturdays together. When we heard their story there was no doubt that we had to shoot a Louisiana Tech Engagement Session! And we love those!

The Tech campus is beautiful and has LOTS of locations that are perfect for engagement sessions. And the campus serves as the setting for so many couples’ lives together before they decide to take that big matrimonial step! Beauty + emotional connection. What’s not to love?

We met them at the Lady of the Mist fountain in the middle of campus to begin the shoot . And we ended up having such a good time that we shot most of the session right there! Louisiana Tech engagement sessions are a lot of fun for us. It’s usually the second or third time that we are meeting the couple in person, so it gives us the opportunity to get to know them even more. Not to mention captured a few images while we are at it.

After the first part of our session we went to Lincoln Parish Park. It’s no secret that we love LPP! (You down with LPP? Yeah you know me!) And again, what’s not to love? The pond, the beautiful colors; it’s just great. We had a blast hanging out and playing with the light. And watching Emily and Jaret interact with each other showed us how genuinely in love they truly are. It was a great session all around!
