Now that Fall is finally here – that ridiculously early day in September has no meaning here in the South – Cara and I would like to take a minute and tell you about some exciting things that we’ve cooked up just for YOU! I guess it’s a little bit like the infamous “How I Spent My Summer Vacation” reports. They still do that, right? Let’s assume that they do. And after this, we can’t help but believe that Buie Photography would get an A+. Ok, yes, we are biased. We didn’t go anywhere over-the-top exciting. We didn’t suddenly become best friends with Chris Pratt or Jennifer Lawrence. In fact, we spent most of our time just hanging out with friends (new and old) and taking care of our animals. And sweating. Lots of sweating.

BUT!!!! (Cue the music!) We DID do something that we have been wanting to do for a long time, and that is find ways in which we can give our clients more! And today’s post is about what we are giving back to our wedding photography clients. Hollywood may never make a movie about us, but we think it’s pretty exciting all the same.*

The First Totally Awesome New Feature for our Wedding Photography Clients: The Personal Wedding Site

Personal Wedding Sites have actually been around for quite a bit, but their popularity has really exploded in recent years. Frankly, it’s easy to see why. For the uninitiated, Personal Wedding Sites are pages on the internet that display all of the information which a potential wedding guest might need to know. Each page is designed with the specific detail on that particular couple’s wedding. Sort of like a digital invitation.  But with the option to buy gifts. It’s actually very convenient. And technology is only making it more convenient-er. However, there’s only one problem: brides have to do it themselves. Because they have soooo much free time in the months leading up to their wedding.

Wait! Before any of you start throwing things  – or your computer, which I don’t recommend – we have a solution. We will do it for you! And not a free site from “the Knot” or “Wedding Wire” or any of the hundreds of other sites. That would be cheating. Instead, we have added the capability to design and host Personal Wedding Sites to our business. So, all of our wedding photography clients will now be getting a free site that you do not have to create yourself. It will feature RSVP and “Add to Calendar” options, as well as driving directions, links to your online registries, a gallery from your engagement session, and  . . . Yes, that’s right. It’s free. And it will go live after we finish editing your engagement session.

Boom.

The Second Totally Awesome New Featue for our Wedding Photography Clients: The Lifetime 10

We are calling it “The Lifetime 10,” because it sounds better than anything else we have come up with so far. It is what it is. But we think that you will love it nonetheless. Simply put, if we shoot your wedding, we will give you 10% off all of your future photography sessions with us. Yup. You read that right. Go ahead and read it again, I’ll wait. So, yeah, 10% off everything: newborn, anniversary, family, senior, you name it. Our brides get 10% off. And yes, this applies retroactively to all of our past brides as well.

Okay, so just to make sure that there isn’t any misunderstanding let’s take a look at a few scenarios:

Scenario #1 – You had a lovely little ceremony in a quite little chapel and invited only your immediately families in the Spring of 2011. Now, six years later, guess whose family has doubled in size and just realized that they don’t have any pics of everyone together? Not a problem, we’ll just go ahead and take 10% off your session.

Scenario #2 – Your Summer 2016 wedding set records for attendance within a 200 mile radius. Guiness confirmed it. It was massive and required 12 hours of photography coverage. A little over a year later you realize that you are using your High School Senior portraits for your head shot on your resume – oh yeah, you’re also looking for a new job, something more in your field, maybe even helping others. We can take care of that for you, let’s just go ahead and trim 10% off that first.

Scenario #3 – Actually, at this point I think you get it: If we shoot your wedding, we want to grow with you every step of the way. We want to be there for you through all of the ups and downs – hey, I didn’t say why you were looking for a new job. For us, life and business is so deeply connected that simply collecting clients holds no interest; It’s way more rewarding to make friends.

So there they are. Our two big up-dates, additions, features, whatever. The bottom line is: we are in this for you guys and if we all just happen to become friends – maybe even a few besties? – then that’s just . . . well, AMAZING!

Anyway, there you go.We should, like, seriously have a party or something. Someone get on that. We’ll bring dip.

 

*I also strongly maintain and shall defend to my dying day that we bear more than a passing resemblance to the two lovely movie stars mentioned above. This is, however, completely coincidental.
